About the Doctor
William C. Brown, M.D., has been providing quality care for patients of all ages in Greenwich and the surrounding communities for over 20 years.

Upon graduation, he did his general surgery training at The University of Texas/Southwestern Medical School in Dallas. He then completed his urology training at the J. Bentley Squire Urological Clinic at Columbia University. While at Columbia University, he did a year of research and fellowship with Dr. Jerry Blaivas in neurourology, urodynamics and female urology. During that year, he was responsible for all voiding dysfunction consults at the Presbyterian Hospital and the Neurological Institute of the Columbia Presbyterian Medical Center Campus. He conducted and interpreted all urodynamic studies completed at the Medical Center.
Dr. Brown is board certified in urology and has extensive experience in the treatment of kidney stone disease, enlarged prostate, erectile dysfunction, female urology and incontinence, voiding dysfunction, prostate cancer, bladder cancer, testicular cancer, pediatric issues and urodynamic evaluations. The office offers a range of diagnostic testing, such as cystoscopy, uroflow, urodynamics and prostate biopsy. Vasectomies are done in-office. All procedures are done after a full explanation in order to decrease patient anxiety. The practice advocates an integrated approach. Supplements, lifestyle changes and diet modifications can be incorporated into the treatment program for many disease states.
For men interested in benign prostate surgery, newer laser techniques are available for effective outpatient treatment. Kidney stones can be treated effectively with minimally invasive procedures. The practice is affiliated with Greenwich Hospital, Stamford Hospital and Yale New Haven Medical Center.
